William Arcane releases ‘Settle’ and ‘Hourglass’
William Arcane wrote the beautiful tracks due to be released on the Hourglass EP in a cottage on the Pembrokeshire coast. He’d taken himself off from London to Wales, as a relationship came to an end, and spent 3 weeks recording new material with reel to reel tape recorders, editing the parts and laying his heart bare.
The result is the ‘Hourglass’ EP, and most recently Settle, two tracks that rush with organic electronics and Will’s sweet, slightly broken vocals. The lyrics orbit the subject of heartache and the dawning resignation that some relationships cannot be salvaged. However, although moving and at times breathtakingly sad, these tracks show an artist with a renewed emotional confidence and a unique musical production talent.
William Arcane’s Hourglass EP is out on 29th November on Trace the Line Recordings.
