I’ve got to throw my hands up when I have slept on a track or an artist – and lately I shamefully did just that with Jamilah Barry. Jamilah has a gorgeous voice; soft, soulful and seductive to the core. The London based singer has been releasing a steady stream of solo and collaborative tracks online across the last couple of years – both productions with UK producers and other vocalists and live sessions and shows.

The track that woke my Jamilah slumber was ‘HIM&HER’ released earlier this year. Jamilah’s neo-soul vocals are the perfect compliment to the smoky production from Midnight Phunk.

I also particularly love this even older track ‘Silly Q’s’ which featuring Jackum. Its got a more hip hop influence to the beat with a more acoustic led track underneath.
