Bastien Keb makes neo-soul for London city
Today has so far sound tracked by a release from last month from multi-intrumentalist and composer Bastien Keb. ‘Pick Up’ is a mix of low-fi vocals, barbershop finger clicks, percussion trills and cinematic soundscapes – which sees Keb pleading with a mystery girl to answer a late night call.
This is the second track to be taken from Keb’s sophmore album, following on from his 2015 debut ‘Drinking In The Shadows of Zizou’. ‘Pick Up’ is a modern London take on a neo-soul sound that is perfect for night time listening.
